A new beginning
I feel so old doing this, because on my teenager years it was very common to have a blog and, months or years without writing anything, we would make a post reviving the blog. So here it is, a new beginning for this one. This is a short update from the last 2 years.

Where I am now - Day 388

Day 65 - Fist day at the bootcamp
Yesterday was my first day at Campus Code. We started with a basic exercise in Ruby: making a command line aplication to include words in english and their translation in portuguese.

Day 43 - React
This week I’m learning more about React. And before you ask, no, I haven’t finished the Odin Project. But the thing is: I found some really nice job opportunities that have React as a requirement.

Day 35
In the last weeks I’ve been diving into the odin project. I have completed some interesting projects, such as recreating the Google Homepage (needs improvements, I was a bit lazy on this one), making a jQuery Slider and building a Etch-a-sketch.

Today I attended a CSS Meetup. There were 2 pannels, the first (Afonso Pacifer) about drawing with CSS and the second (Willian Justen) about math in CSS.

The Ruby exercises in Codesaga are really fun. I think that I will go deeper in the language, and maybe try to understand more about backend, as I couldn’t (for now) grasp this subject with Javascript.

The Free Code Camp community started to collaborate to create a landing page for a collective that helps trans people to study and get jobs, increasing their life quality.

The hard thing of this challenge is building the habit. I don’t have a lot of free time, but I do have one hour in the morning and I can find one in the evening.

Day 1
Today I found about the #100DaysOfCode challenge.
I have been struggling to learn to code for at least 4 years, going back and fourth, with many languages from R to JS. Since I found out about FreeCodeCamp last October, my learning curve is improving. I have completed the Front End Development certificate on March, but then I hit the wall again. I have some difficult understanding Back End topics, so everything involving node.js is hard for me now.
